Was well-supported at debut, 2nd in a small field at Moonee Valley 2yo (Rs0mw) on March 18 over 1200m, head behind Zamborghini with 58kg at $3. Encouraging signs on debut and another big run is likely.

• Race 3: #2 Convict Sam

Useful gelding. At the latest run lost a plate; ran on from midfield; 2nd of 7 at Sandown-Hillside 3yo+ (Bm78) on March 9 over 3000m, 1.3 len behind Budd Fox with 60kg at $3.50. The race before that 3rd of 9 at Sandown-Hillside 3yo+ (Bm70) on February 23 over 2400m, 4.5 len behind Spirit Of Gold with 59kg at $3.80. Stayed the trip last time and better for it.

• Race 8: #5 Do Ya Punk

Getting off the mark on debut; was well back until straightening; raced back then made ground from the turn; won by 0.5 len at Ballarat 3yo+ Mdn March 15 over 1100m in heavy going defeating Jayanthi carrying 59kg at $2.90. Open to plenty of improvement and another win can certainly happen.

• Race 9: #5 Head First

Second-up. Strong on debut as favourite; won by 5.5 len at Wodonga 2yo Mdn July 11 over 1100m on a heavy track defeating River Views carrying 56kg at $2.30. Went for a spell before returning hampered at start and held up near 500m; ran on from midfield; 2nd of 11 at Sandown-Hillside 3yo F (Bm64) on March 16 over 1000m, 1.5 len behind Lempicka carrying 59.5kg at $4.50. Steps up in distance which should suit. Among the top chances.
