Rosehill
- Race 1: #9 Dalaalaat
Not convinced DALAALAAT loves the wet but he was good on the Heavy 9 last time here a fortnight ago and can improve. McDonald on, he looks a major player and a deserved favourite.
- Race 2: #2 Boyfriend
Have to like what BOYFRIEND did in the Todman and the formlines read pretty well through Sejardan. Blinkers on. Avdulla jumps on him and off the stablemate WILLIAMSBURG is interesting.
- Race 3: #4 Mount Popa
MOUNT POPA won the Mornington Cup on this day 12 months ago and did so third up also. It’s a nice pattern and he was very good last time in the Sky High. He likes it wet and is a deserved favourite.
- Race 4: #13 Money From The Sky
The races don’t get much easier. MONEY FROM THE SKY is a horse that has plenty of ability. He’s been a bit disappointing since running so well on debut at Kensington and starting favourite against Profondo at start 2 but getting up to this trip now on the back of a confidence building win could be the making of him. He got through the Heavy well and looks a live hope
- Race 5: #10 Promise Of Success
Promise Of Success will be one to charge home late here. She needs things to go her way but is very talented and can win.
- Race 6: #9 The Frontman
Happy to have something on THE FRONTMAN at a very big price here. He’s 2 from 3 on the heavy and has plenty of upside. He maps to get in a perfect position and loved the way he trialled leading in here for the new stable.
- Race 7: #11 Duais
Hard to not like the way DUAIS is going about it currently and if she sees out a strong 2400m, she’s the horse to beat again. She was fantastic in the Chipping Norton, despite running 6th, having absolutely no luck and unlucky not to win.
- Race 8: #2 Hinged
HINGED doesn’t have to be as far off them as she was in a Group 1 Coolmore last time from her perfect barrier. Brenton Avdulla jumps back on board after riding her to victory in the Group 1 Surround Stakes two back. This filly ran 12.28 home in the Coolmore against the older horses, a race fastest in what was a super run. Maps perfectly, in form, in form jockey and hard to beat
- Race 9: #18 Maotai
MAOTAI looks the leader and he’ll be hard to beat. The 3YO form hasn’t really stacked up but this horse has gone to another level this campaign and has a great racing pattern.
- Race 10: #8 Taksu
TAKSU put the writing on the wall two back and was a dominant winner last time. He has a good racing pattern and will be hard to run down again here.
